WHERE TO BEGIN.... August 2014- July 2015 Design Team

Welcome to the Design team.
Here is where to start....
You committed to two projects a month and one blog hop.
*** If you don't have a blog just skip over everything that says blog HOP :)

What does two projects a month mean?
It means that twice a month your projects are going to go on the
My Cricut Craft Room Blog (MCCR) . http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com

How do they get there?
Well, we use this Design Team Blog (DT) to upload the projects and a little mini description of how you made it and a link to your site where you post it.
The date that you sign up for is the date that it will go up on the MCCR blog.  There are currently two open spots per day to sign up to post your project. Try to fill in the open spots first, but if nothing is useful to you then you can be the second person on a day.

Why do you post your projects here on the DT blog?
I use this blog to organize things, It is WAY TOO hard to give everyone access to my main blog and the ads and personal information on the main blog, so we ALL use this blog to upload our projects and pictures. Then I copy from here and paste it on the MCCR blog on the designated day.

When and where do I post my project?
After you sign up for a theme that interests you, you then may create a new project (not seen before) for that day. After you make your project and take your pictures, you then find a post here on this blog with the date and theme of your project.  Then follow the instructions on the post to add your name mini explanation and link to your blog. IF you do not have a blog then you should provide a more complete explanation of HOW you made your project. This should be done AT LEAST 3 days before the actual date that you have signed up for. Then on the actual date that you signed up for I will copy the posting from the DT and put it on the MCCR blog. You should have it posted on your blog by 8am EST (If you have one) it is also great to post it on your facebook, in facebook groups, your Pinterest, Instagram or any other social media sources that you use. I will do the same for you on that day.

What are you signing up for?
Well I make a list each month a vague themes.
 (See the monthly sign ups)
For your two projects you find a blank place on the sign up calendar that interests you and comment on that month's calendar post with your name and the two dates and theme of the days that you pick.  What do the themes mean? For example "Flowers" That means you can make a card with a flower on it, a home decor wall art with a flower on it, make a project using flower printed paper, make paper flowers, Stamp a flower on your project.... ANYTHING you can think of that relates to a flower. If it can somehow be related to the theme of the day, you can do it. Any material, any type of item, just crafted and within the theme of the day.  Another example of a theme is motor operated- this can be a stamp of something motor operated a die cut that is motor operated like a car or plane..etc. You item does not actually have to be motor operated (oh, but it could be if you want) The sky is the limit! Use your imagination!

How to add your project to a post or
how to find the posts on here?
Once you have been given "author" permissions on this blog, which is why I need your email to give you author permissions. You will sign into this blog.
Look on the top right of the window it should say ---"Your email"---    -new post--  -design-  --Sign Out--
or if you are not registered it will say ---create blog---    ---sign in---
After you sign in click DESIGN

Then down the left find POSTS click on it and a list of posts will come up....

scroll down to the date that you signed up for and below the title click EDIT, if you hover below the title of that date you will see the option to edit.

There you will see the post with the graphic already ready to go for you. Add your pictures and info as listed below to the post.
You do not have to do this, BUT If you would like to copy that post and put it on your blog follow these steps....  AFTER you complete the posting, you can delete my little SAMPLE. The above the window where you edited the post see to the upper left two buttons that say COMPOSE and HTML click the HTML... don't worry it will look weird. Then click in the window with all of the typing and hold down CTRL (COMMAND if you are on a MAC) and A at the same time to select all of the writing.  Let go of those keys then hold down CTRL and C at the same time to copy. Let go of the buttons. You can then click SAVE or UPDATE on the top right to save your post on the DT blog. Then go to your blog and create a NEW POST as normal, in the upper left of the window click HTML and then click in the open window. Hold down CTRL and V at the same time to paste. You should now see all of he typing. Then click COMPOSE from the upper left and now it should have pictures etc. Delete what you don't want and add any additional information that you want. Then follow the normal process of posting or scheduling the post.
*** on the DT blog, ONLY EDIT THE SINGLE DATES ***
** DO NOT EDIT THE SIGN UP CALENDARS***
